Art and writing have always been close to my heart. I completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Production at Queensland University of Technology, followed by a couple of years picking fruit and travelling around Australia. This exposure to farmers, crops and conditions generated an interest in Australian Agriculture and prompted further study and work in this field. However, in recent years I have come back to art and writing.

I live in Toowoomba, Queensland, with my husband and two school-aged children, who constantly amaze and inspire me. Early mornings and school hours see me honing my portfolio and writing and illustrating my own picture books and junior fiction series. The rest of my time is spent juggling motherhood and family time, nature walks, gardening, and patting my two cats when they deign to give me their attention.
